Dr. S.N.N. Government Degree College Vedikhal, Pauri Garhwal affiliated to Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Badshahithaul, Tehri Garhwal, is a State Government institution under the Directorate of Higher Education, Govt of Uttarakhand. Being a co-educational institute situated on the National Highway NH-121 in the remote area of State Uttarakhand. The College caters to the need of Higher Education of both male and female students living in adjoining villages.
The College was established in the year 1979 bearing the name as “Dr. S.N.N. Government Degree College Vedikhal, Pauri Garhwal”.
Initially, the College started with 02 faculties in the Humanities Stream. But with time, keeping in view the educational requirement of the undergraduates, it was upgraded with 09 subjects in Under Graduate Level the science subjects (Zoology, Botany and Chemistry) started in the session 2021-22. The total strength of students is more than 200, the majority belonging to rural, areas. The College campus is spread over an area of 8.50 acre. Playground facilities comprise a Volleyball and Badminton court along with an open ground. Other than teaching, the extra-curricular activities, extension- services are undertaken by the NSS, Rovers- Rangers Units of the college in which the students show their enthusiastic participation under the supervision of Faculty-members.
