Dr. Awatar Singh (Born on 1st September, 1974) did his B.A. (1996), M.A. (1998) from HNB Garhwal University and Ph.D (2003) from the HNB Garhwal University. He joined Ph.D program in the Department of Defense strategic studies of HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar. He obtained his Ph.D degree in the subject of Defense Stdies under the supervision of Prof. Ashwani Kumar Singh. He has joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Defense Studies at Government (P.G.) College, New Tehri and also acted as external expert during the examination of graduate and post graduate level. Dr. Singh joined Department of Defense Studies as assistant professor at Government Degree College, Satpuli in 2010 and worked till 2012. He is presently working as In Charge Principal & Assistant Professor at Department of Defense Studies at Dr. Shivanand Nautiyal Government Degree College, Vedikhal, Uttarakhand. Dr. Singh has published more than 20 Research Papers in Journals of International and National of high repute. He has attended and contributed his research work in more than 30 conferences/seminars/symposia and also participated in numbers of training workshops at International and National level. He has been instrumental in celebrating/organizing events on the Kargil Diwas, Earth Day, World Environment Day, Constitution Day, Independence Day, Wild Life Week and Ozone day in the college every year. He acted as Principal In charge for more than 3 years.
The research work of Dr. Singh on Defense studies and Military Sciences is being widely cited by various researchers in their research communications. In the year 2022, Dr. Singh completed on of the most important refresher online course in Ramarjun College, New Delhi. Dr. Singh acted as resource person at various platforms such as Seminar, symposia, workshops etc. He is expert members of various universities of India.
